Please take time to read about the contact information data we have on file for you:

Your privacy is important to us and, because of the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) that took effect on 25 May 2018, we need your consent to keep your contact information on file. We require this contact information in order to continue communicating with you. This consent is assumed for existing members and will remain so until we are otherwise informed.

For all new members, filling in a membership form requires them to agree to us holding contact details on file.

Currently, we hold the following data about members, supporters and other interested parties on our contact list: Names, email addresses, home addresses and phone numbers, where such information has been imparted to us.

We hold this data only for the purposes of administering memberships and sending out information about our activities. The data is NEVER shared with third parties.

At any time you are entitled to ask us what information we hold on you by contacting us at or in writing.

Should you wish to delete your contact information from our files and not receive communications from the Shrewsbury Civic Society, or should you wish to resign your membership, please notify us immediately by contacting us at or in writing.

Because of the new legal regulations of 25 May 2018 concerning how we handle information about people, we have to bring this information to your attention. Please read this page carefully and respond if you need to at or in writing.

If you wish to continue to keep your contact information in our files, no further action is required and you will continue to receive communications from us. If you have any questions regarding the new GDPR requirements, please don’t hesitate to e-mail us at or write to us and we will respond to you by phone or e-mail in a timely manner.
