Michael Carding, the tower captain of Holy Trinity Church in Meole Brace, has written a collection of poems about Shrewsbury and the surrounding area. His verses speak of individuals and tales that have enlivened the area, and they range from serious reflections on cultural matters to humorous tales on life around the Severn loop.

The profits made from the sales of the book will be donated to three local charities – Shrewsbury Food Hub, the Street Pastors and Shrewsbury Samaritans.
